Nestled in heart of East Mayo, Kiltimagh is a small friendly town watched over by the beautiful Sliabh Carin mountain. Steeped in history Kiltimagh has provided a home for artists such as the acclaimed poet Anthony Raftery who praised the people of his home town with the following line from his famous poem Cill Aodain;

"If I could stand among my own people, then age would leave and youth would return."
